#rustic hook

• Rustic long hook — A rudimentary household tool consisting of a long wooden pole terminating in a metallic hook or a bent branch, used in rural areas to pull, catch, or lower objects out of direct reach (such as dry tree branches, buckets stuck in wells, or hay from stacks); figuratively and pejoratively, the term can describe a very tall, thin, and lanky person with a distorted or clumsy gait.
