#self-culpabilization
- Self-blame — The act of self-blaming and its result; a destructive and often unconscious psychological process through which an individual unjustifiably, disproportionately, or chronically assumes guilt for negative events, failures, or the suffering of those around them. This structural act of self-blame severely erodes self-esteem and is frequently correlated with depressive or anxious episodes.
