#silversmith variant

• Silversmith variant — An extremely rare archaic occupational term, historically used in certain local dialects to denote a master caster, a princely mint worker, or a silversmith artisan who processed silver or white metallic alloys used to make ornaments, buttons, and coins. In structural historical linguistics, it represents a hybrid derivation formed with the occupational suffix of Ottoman origin '-giu' applied to a Balkan lexical root.
