#slang term

• Allo- (prefix) — A combining form (prefixoid) originating from the Greek word 'allos', utilized in scientific terminology (chemistry, medicine, genetics) to denote 'other', 'different', or 'variant' (e.g., allopathy, allophone, allonym); also, in modern urban slang, it operates as an informal variant for a telephonic or distant greeting borrowed from English.
• Thrashing — The act of hitting or beating someone repeatedly and its result; a beating, physical punishment applied to someone in an argumentative or punitive sense; more rarely, it can refer in a popular sense to rough or careless tree grafting.
• Not now — A contracted, popular, or regional phonetic form resulting from the rapid blending of the temporal adverb 'acum' (in regional variants 'amu' or 'amuș') with the negation 'nu'. It is used in current informal speech to express an immediate contextual negation, hesitation, or a spontaneous reaction of rejection regarding a present action.
• Big listener — A rare augmentative or pejorative term used to describe a person who listens excessively, a large-sized listener, or someone who eavesdrops ostentatiously. In some colloquial or slang contexts, it structurally describes an individual suspected of spying or gathering information for authorities.
• Someone is coming — A slang warning phrase from the Romanian street or secret vocabulary, derived via Romani, translated as 'the man is coming!' or 'someone is approaching!'; it is used as a neutral signal to indicate the appearance of a stranger, an unwanted witness, or a property owner. Unlike the specific alert for police, this term announces a simple human presence requiring caution or a swift change of topic.
