In modern sociology, the term also details the collective idealization of celebrities or dictators within personality cults.
- Adulation — Excessive, servile, and often hypocritical praise; blind and exaggerated admiration displayed toward a person, an idol, or an authoritative figure. The phenomenon implies a total idealization of the subject, frequently used within power structures or personality cults to maintain an infallible public image. Unlike sincere appreciation, adulation is guided by hidden interests, social opportunism, or mass conformity.

- Ragtag crowd — A group of people gathered together without selection criteria, often unruly, disorganized, loud, or suspicious; a mob, a clique, a gang. In a material sense, it denotes a chaotic, heterogeneous, and disordered collection of old, worn, low-quality objects gathered in a space without a clear utility.
- Animation — A technical and artistic process used in cinematography and digital media to create the optical illusion of movement by rapidly displaying a succession of frames, drawings, puppets, or three-dimensional models.
