- Allolalia — A speech disorder or language dysfunction characterized by the defective, inverted, or modified pronunciation of words, or by the alteration of the phrases' logical structure, without the patient presenting organic lesions of the vocal apparatus or severe intellectual deficiencies. This functional structural phenomenon often manifests within early neurological syndromes and is addressed through intensive speech therapy.
- Autoecholalia — A speech disorder manifested by the automatic, involuntary, and stereotyped repetition of one's own words or syllables immediately after pronouncing them; a clinical phenomenon often observed in autism spectrum disorders, schizophrenia, senile dementia, or various cortical neurological conditions.
