- To pierce with openwork — To execute an openwork embroidery or ornamental pattern on a fabric, leather, wood, or metal object; to symmetrically perforate or cut a material to give it a lace-like and transparent appearance. In fashion design, it represents the ornamentation process by which a product becomes partially translucent through structured decorative openings.
- Chosen — 1. Having been selected from a group based on outstanding qualities; a person or object of superior value, distinguished, illustrious, or predestined. 2. In Romanian ethnography, it describes a traditional technique of manual weaving for carpets, towels, or blouses, where decorative patterns are crafted by manually inserting colored threads among the warp threads, creating unique geometric or floral motifs.
- Amorous red — A rare chromatic form or popular variant used to describe a shade of bright red, passionate purple, or saturated soft pink, symbolically and visually associated with the feeling of love. In folk art or ethnographic textile descriptions, the term indicates an intense dye achieved in the past from vegetable or imported pigments.
- Garment interlining — A technical workshop term used to describe a thin intermediate textile material, a lightweight interlining, or a stiffening cloth inserted between the garment's outer fabric and the actual lining, aiming to provide structure, stability, and an impeccable shape to collars, lapels, or shoulders. Historically, it denoted a small textile mat or decorative fabric placed in a foyer.
