#tracked down

• Scented — Scented, tracked down, or sniffed out from a distance via the olfactory sense; partially equivalent to the standard past participle 'adulmecat'. The term describes the status of a wild animal or an object whose volatile chemical particles have been intercepted by a predator or working dog. Metaphorically, it details a hidden intention, opportunity, or danger that has been suspected, intuited, or anticipated ahead of time due to sharp flair.
