#university standards

• Academic — A defining attribute for everything pertaining to or closely associated with an academy, the university environment, or the high community of researchers. In linguistic and methodological terms, it describes a style of expression characterized by absolute logical rigor, detached objectivity, elevated vocabulary, and the absence of emotional elements. In a secondary, sometimes pejorative sense, it can refer to something purely theoretical, formal, or conventional, detached from immediate practical reality.
