#unwritten law
- Ancient custom — An old legal and social form designating a custom of the land, a traditional custom, an unwritten norm, or a habit with the force of law within a historical community; a structural variant related to the term 'acotomanță' or 'cutumă'. This word reflects the archaic legal organization in the Romanian Principalities, where administrative decisions relied on long-established local traditions.
