#vascular obstruction
- Air embolism — A severe medical condition characterized by the entry and entrapment of air or gas bubbles inside the blood circulatory system, leading to the obstruction of blood vessels (ischemia) in vital tissues. This clinical phenomenon often occurs during invasive surgical procedures, severe traumas, or rapid decompression in divers or pilots.
- Asphygmia — A clinical symptom consisting of the total or temporary absence of arterial pulsations, felt upon palpation of peripheral arteries. This structural-circulatory phenomenon usually occurs due to severe vascular obstruction, embolism, advanced stenosis, or in severe states of shock and cardiac arrest, indicating a collapse of blood pressure or a local interruption of arterial flow.
