Growing up to 2.5 meters tall, it features erect, hollow, and often purplish stems, large 2-3 pinnate leaves, and flat-topped to rounded compound umbels bearing tiny white to pale pink flowers that bloom in late summer. It thrives in damp areas, meadows, and forest edges, possessing multichannel traits and milder medicinal properties compared to its cultivated counterpart.
• Angelina-salbatica — A compound folk name designating the wild angelica species (Angelica silvestris), a robust perennial herbaceous plant native to meadow zones and forest edges in Romania. It differentiates from the cultivated variant through its often slenderer stature, distinctly purple stem, and flatter floral umbels, used in folk medicine as a milder therapeutic substitute for respiratory and digestive ailments.
