Adi Granth
Definition
The fundamental sacred text and early scripture of Sikhism, structurally compiled in the year 1604 by Guru Arjan, the fifth Sikh Guru. This volume contains religious hymns, mystical poems, and spiritual teachings of the first Sikh Gurus, as well as Hindu and Muslim saints, being later expanded and proclaimed as the eternal living Guru under the name Guru Granth Sahib.
