Aerotriangulation
Definition
A geodetic method or precision technical procedure used to determine the three-dimensional geographic coordinates of ground control points based on the stereoscopic measurement of a succession of overlapping aerial photographs (aerophotograms). This structural technique allows the densification of topographic networks and the mapping of vast territories without performing tedious ground surveys for every point.
Bilingual Equivalents
- Aerotriangulation
- Aerial triangulation
