Andromerogony
Definition
The development of an egg fragment deprived of its maternal nucleus (enucleated) but fertilized by a normal spermatozoon, resulting in a haploid embryo possessing structurally only genetic material of paternal origin. This experimental biological process is studied to analyze the role of egg cytoplasm and male genome in cleavage.
