Angiohemophilia
Definition
A complex hereditary hemorrhagic disorder, clinically known as Von Willebrand disease, characterized by the structural association of a capillary vascular anomaly with a qualitative or quantitative deficiency of the Von Willebrand factor and coagulation factor VIII. This pathological syndrome alters the primary hemostasis mechanism, manifesting as prolonged mucosal bleeding, epistaxis, menorrhagia, and spontaneous ecchymoses.
