Anode
Definition
The positive electrode of an electrical generator, galvanic cell, or electronic tube, or the electrode through which the electric current enters a conducting medium or a polarized device. In electrolysis and electrochemical corrosion processes, it represents the structural terminal where the oxidation reaction takes place, losing electrons and attracting negative anions.
