Autotopagnosia
Definition
A rare neuropsychological clinical symptom characterized by a patient's inability to recognize, locate, or name parts of their own body or another person's body, despite intact sensory, motor, and language functions. This structural agnosia of the body schema is typically caused by a focal lesion located in the left (dominant) parietal lobe of the brain.
