Definition
An image, drawing, or text printed on a special paper or foil (bearing an adhesive or reactivated with water) that, by pressing or wetting, can be permanently or temporarily transferred onto another surface (glass, wood, paper, skin). Figuratively or pejoratively, it describes a cheap decoration, a superficial mask, or a false label applied to a situation or a person.
