- Anisosphygmia — A pathological condition or clinical phenomenon characterized by the inequality in volume, strength, amplitude, or shape of the arterial pulse wave recorded simultaneously at symmetrical points of the body (for instance, between the left and right radial arteries). This structural deficit in blood propagation indicates the presence of localized vascular obstructions, aortic aneurysms, segmental arterial stenoses, or extrinsic mechanical compressions within the large vessels.
- Arteriostenosis — A pathological narrowing, congenital or acquired, of the lumen of an artery, structurally caused by atheromatous plaque deposits, inflammatory processes (vasculitis), or prolonged muscular spasms. This phenomenon reduces regional blood flow, causing ischemia of the irrigated tissues and significantly increasing the risk of necrosis or infarction in the affected territory.
