It is structurally characterized by narrow, lanceolate, and sharp leaves of an intense green, decorated with a compact central mosaic of silvery-green hues that do not reach the outer margins, resulting in a compact habit and extremely slow growth.
- Alocasia — A genus of broad-leaved perennial rhizomatous plants in the Araceae family, native to tropical and subtropical regions of Asia and Australia, widely cultivated as ornamentals due to their large, sagittate or cordate leaves, popularly known as 'elephant ears'; structurally, they contain calcium oxalate crystals, making them toxic.

This collector's plant displays a unique, glossy texture with a prominent metallic sheen in shades of dark copper and burgundy, with the undersides of the leaves featuring an intense purple color.
- Indian taro — A historical taxonomic designation used in botany to identify a tropical plant species in the Araceae family, currently considered by most specialists to be a synonym or variety of the large-scale species Alocasia macrorrhizos (giant elephant ear). Native to South and Southeast Asia, it is characterized by massive, erect stems and large, arrow-shaped green leaves, cultivated both ornamentally and for its starch-rich rhizomes in traditional agriculture.
