#anaphylactic
- Adrenaline — A hormone secreted by the adrenal medulla and a neurotransmitter released by the sympathetic nervous system during stress, fear, or intense physical effort; epinephrine. It acts rapidly on adrenergic receptors, causing an increased heart rate, peripheral vasoconstriction, dilation of the airways, and mobilization of glucose reserves, preparing the body for the 'fight or flight' response. Figuratively, it describes a state of intense excitement.
- Anaphylactic — Pertaining to anaphylaxis; triggering, accompanying, or characterizing an acute, systemic, and potentially lethal allergic reaction, structurally initiated by the massive and abrupt release of chemical mediators (such as histamine) from mast cells and basophils following an antigen-antibody immunological conflict. In a clinical sense, it defines severe manifestations characterized by a collapse in blood pressure and asphyxiation.
- Autoanaphylaxis — A severe and rare form of anaphylactic-type reaction (acute hypersensitivity) triggered inside the body by its own pathologically modified substances or proteins, acting as autoantigens, without requiring the introduction of an external allergen from the environment.
