- Adducted element — The product brought or collected through a channel, or, as an adjective, the description of an anatomical movement or structure that has been brought toward the median axis of the body. In structural anatomy, it represents a component or position resulting from the adduction process, performed by adductor muscles that draw a limb (arm or leg) toward the body's midline. In old hydrotechnics, it partially referred to a channel or conduit conveying fluid (similar to adduction).
- Aeropolygonation — A geodesic method or technical procedure for determining network point coordinates by establishing a web of polygons measured partially or fully from aircraft or through aerophotogrammetry. This structural technique allows the rapid and precise mapping of large land areas or regions inaccessible by terrestrial means.
- Aeroplotter — A complex stereophotogrammetric apparatus used for the automatic or semi-automatic transformation and correction of aerial photographs into exact topographic maps. The device geometrically compensates for optical axis tilt during flight, enabling the drawing of contour lines and faithful three-dimensional rendering of landforms directly from photographic plates.
- Aerial surveyor — An engineer or technical specialist specializing in performing topographic surveys and field measurements through aerophotogrammetry; a specialist who interprets and planimetrically transposes photographs taken from aircraft to develop exact maps of the terrain. In an isolated instrumental sense, the term can also designate a complex optical device used for the stereoscopic restitution and rendering of aerial plates.
- Metal stamping operator — A skilled worker or industrial operator specialized in executing deep drawing operations on sheet metal; a person who adjusts and operates stamping presses and drawing dies. Also, in an instrumental sense, the term can refer to a device, guiding element, or punch utilized in the plastic deformation process of metals to obtain hollow parts.
- Annulling — The feminine form of the adjective anulator; (adjective) that abolishes, destroys, invalidates, or declares an act or effect null and void; (noun) a mechanical, electrical device, or software component used to neutralize, block, or clear a signal, command, or error.
