#invalidation
- Retraction — The act of contradicting or rejecting and its result; the formal invalidation, retraction, or dismissal of a legal decision, statement, or claim. Used in the past as an archaic equivalent for the modern notion of disavowal or the formal annulment of a legal or ecclesiastical act.
- Annulment — The act of annulling and its result; the official invalidation, abolition, suppression, or declaration of nullity of a legal act, an administrative ruling, a contract, or an appointment; the extinguishing or neutralization of a phenomenon's effect.
- Self-cancellation — The act of self-canceling or its result; a process whereby a deed, document, command, contract, or digital session automatically loses its validity, legal force, or effect due to the expiration of a deadline, non-compliance with a suspensive condition, or the activation of an internal clause, without requiring additional external intervention. In a philosophical or psychological sense, it represents the negation, sacrifice, or suppression of one's own interests, values, or personality by an individual.
