- Arthrology — A branch of anatomy and medicine dealing with the study of the structure, functions, development, and pathology of joints in human and animal bodies. This discipline analyzes all connecting elements between skeletal segments, including cartilage, synovial capsules, ligaments, and lubricating fluids, providing the theoretical foundation for orthopedics, rheumatology, and physical therapy.
