- Akathistier — A liturgical service book or devotional compendium compiling a systematic collection of akathists dedicated to various feasts of the Savior, the Mother of God, and saints throughout the liturgical year. The akathistier is utilized both by the clergy in public divine worship and by lay faithful for their daily private or family prayer rule.
- Holy water font — A large vessel of metal, stone, or marble used in Orthodox churches to hold holy water (agheasmă); a small pavilion, open gazebo, or light structure located in the courtyard of a monastery or church, where the water blessing service is performed during major feasts; a liturgical book (also called Molitfelnic) containing the order of the blessing of water and other minor church services.
- Holy water font — An orthographic and lexical variant recognized for agheasmatar; a large metallic vessel, monumental font, or ritual fountain used in Byzantine-tradition houses of worship for storing holy water. It also designates the covered outdoor pavilion where ecclesiastical communities celebrate the blessing of water, as well as the liturgical manual containing these rites.
- Holy water font — A current orthographic and phonetic variant for agheasmatar; a monumental font, large metallic vessel, or stone basin used in Orthodox houses of worship for blessing and holding holy water (agheasmă). It also designates the small open pavilion in monastery courtyards where the great blessing of water is performed, as well as the liturgical book containing these rites.
- Anastasimatarion variant — An archaic form or niche regional variant for 'anastasimatar'; a liturgical book used in Orthodox churches of the Byzantine rite containing the Sunday chants dedicated to the Resurrection of Christ, systematically arranged according to the eight church tones. Preserved in old manuscript inventories or mentioned in past monastic parlance, this form structurally emphasizes the direct etymological link with the feast of the Resurrection.
- Antiphonary — A liturgical book used in the Christian Church (especially in the Roman Catholic and ancient Byzantine traditions) containing the antiphons, verses, psalms, and hymns designated to be sung alternatively by two choirs throughout the liturgical year.
- Anthologion — A liturgical book specific to the Eastern Orthodox Christian ritual of Byzantine tradition, containing a structural selection of the most important chants, prayers, troparia, and readings extracted from the Menaion, Octoechos, and Triodion. This ecclesiastical compendium was created for practical needs to centralize Sunday services and major feast days into a single volume accessible to priests and chanters.
