- Adolescentism — A variant or synonym for adolescentinism; a collection of behavioral characteristics, affective states, and thinking patterns specific to the age of adolescence; a tendency to prolong juvenile manifestations into adult behavior. In linguistics, it can denote the excessive use of youth jargon or slang in standard public discourse.
- Agitational — Having the character of political or social agitation, designed to incite spirits, mobilize the masses, or provoke intense collective reactions. It refers to speeches, writings, events, or informational strategies deliberately engineered to disrupt public order, stimulate popular discontent, or propagate a radical ideology through persuasive and often aggressive rhetoric.
- Allogeneity — The quality or characteristic of being allogenous; the state of an element, population, or substance being of a different origin and foreign to the indigenous environment in which it is integrated. In social dynamics, it expresses the cultural or ethnic alterity of an immigrant group in relation to the native population, whereas in earth sciences, it indicates the external provenance of mineral deposits within a basin.
- Animalization — The act of animalizing and its result; a social, psychological, or cultural process through which a human being or a group of people loses the specific attributes of humanity (such as reason, empathy, morality, or dignity) and degrades to a purely instinctual or biological level. In historical analyses, the term often describes dehumanization techniques intentionally applied to captive populations to nullify their capacity for rebellion and organization.
- Appropriation — An etymological or bookish spelling variant for the noun 'apropiație' (appropriation / taking possession); the act of appropriating an asset, idea, or cultural resource, or the administrative and legal process of exclusively allocating funds or properties. In modern sociology, the term also refers to cultural appropriation, representing the adoption of specific elements of a minority by a majority culture.
- Aristocratize — To infuse a noble or aristocratic character into a person, a social group, or a cultural environment; to adopt or impose manners, titles, privileges, and a refined lifestyle specific to noble elites. As a reflexive verb, it describes the process by which a community or a person (often from the bourgeoisie) alters their behavior and mindset to mimic the aristocratic class and gain social prestige.
- Assimilation — The act of assimilating and its result; a complex process through which an organism transforms external nutrients into its own living matter. In sociology, it represents cultural fusion or the adoption of dominant cultural traits by a minority group; in phonetics, it denotes a sound's structural modification under the influence of a neighboring one by acquiring identical features.
- Associational — Belonging to an association or organized structural framework of individuals, relating to the spirit of partnership or mechanisms of civic participation; (in psychology or linguistics) relating to the association of ideas or cognitive connections made based on similar or structurally correlated stimuli.
- Oppressor — Oppressive, persecuting, tyrannizing, or systematically exploiting an individual or a collectivity; an individual, social class, or political regime that imposes its will through force, structural coercion, and abuse of power, canceling the freedoms of others.
- Self-governing community — A rare sociological and political term designating a community, a population, or a faction of a people that self-governs, organizes itself autonomously, or establishes on its own its democratic structures and internal rules of cohabitation, without executive or legislative enforcement from a central state nucleus.
- Aventurism — An attitude, doctrine, or behavior characterized by the tendency to initiate high-risk, reckless political, military, or financial actions that lack rigorous planning or a realistic basis for success; this approach speculates on momentary conjunctures, ignoring long-term consequences and endangering the stability of a community or organization. In public discourse, the term carries a strong pejorative connotation, condemning the lack of responsibility in certain leaders.
