#viticulture terms
- To aldoi — The act of hoeing, digging, or hilling an agricultural crop for the second time, especially grapevines, maize, or potatoes, to destroy weeds and aerate the soil. This traditional practice chronologically follows the first hoeing and is essential for maintaining moisture at the plant roots.
- Bacator grape — A rare native variety of grapevine that produces medium-sized clusters with sparse, reddish berries, traditionally cultivated for the production of light and aromatic table wines. The term belongs to the Romanian ampelographic heritage, being specific to certain old wine-growing regions where local agricultural biodiversity is preserved.
