Acrotrophoneurosis
Definition
A complex functional and neurovegetative neurological disorder characterized by severe trophic, dystrophic, and vasomotor disturbances localized exclusively within the distal extremities of the body (hands and feet). This structural process alters normal tissue nutrition through the dysfunction of perivascular sympathetic nerve fibers, clinically manifesting as chronic edema, persistent cyanosis (acrocyanosis), skin thinning, keratinization disorders, and altered sensitivity to thermal factors.
