- To gather — To gather or collect objects, beings, or goods scattered around in one place; to accumulate. In mathematics, the verb signifies to perform the operation of addition, combining two or more numbers or magnitudes into a single total sum. Reflexively ('a se aduna'), it describes individuals meeting, clustering, or concentrating in a given location, or the psychological process of regaining mental composure and focus.
- To run — 1. To move rapidly on foot, through large, hurried, or leaping steps, alternating phases of contact with phases of aerial suspension. 2. To closely pursue a person or animal in order to catch, chase away, or harass them. 3. Figuratively, to make sustained efforts, rush around, or travel much from place to place to solve a problem or achieve an outcome. 4. To drive, train, or race a horse in equestrian or trotting events.
- To alter — To change for the worse the form, structure, quality, or essential nature of a thing; to spoil, degrade, corrupt, or falsify. - To alternate — To succeed one another in a regular and periodic manner, one element after another, in time or space; to change by turns two or more activities, states, or phenomena to ensure balance or controlled variation (e.g., to alternate work with rest).
- Allude — To express something through allusions, to drop insinuations or indirect remarks regarding a person or a situation; to transform an idea or message into a series of hints. Unlike the standard verb 'a aluda', this rare neologism emphasizes the repeated or intentional action of using allusions within a speech or conversation.
- To wait — To remain in a place, delay an action, or spend an interval of time passively or actively until a person arrives, an event occurs, or a deadline is met; to anticipate, hope for, or consider a certain outcome probable. In an extended sense, it expresses the psychological or structural attitude of preparation for a future reality or the requirement to respect a defined temporal sequence.
